Hello, My Boy

Your baby shower went off without a hitch. Your aunts did an amazing job. Your Auntie Jojo got to be there and that was enough for me. Your Papa was so happy. Of course all the stress at work and all my anxieties have caused me to be sick over my days off. I go back to work tomorrow so, hopefully my cough and congestion is gone by then. Oh! I got some exciting news at our doctor’s appointment yesterday. Dr. Zaino said that he’ll check me at 37 weeks and if you’re ready, he’ll schedule an induction. That’s in 6 weeks. 6 weeks! A year ago, I didn’t think I’d ever meet you. The idea that I’ll be holding you in less than 8 weeks is becoming overwhelming. My entire life I’ve wanted you and now you’re here. What do I do now? All I want to be is your mom. I am suddenly completely content with being nothing but your mother and my world already revolves around you.

Who will you be? What will you do with your life? I hope you have your Papa’s intelligence and drive. I hope you have a combination of our sense of humor and patience. You will be perfect in every way possible. If you’re anything like your Papa, you’ll be perfect in every way.

1st Appointment of Our Third Trimester

Hello, baby boy.

I just got home from Springfield where I had our first 3^rd trimester appointment. Your heartbeat is still strong and healthy and you’re still at the perfect size. I got my flu shot, my TDab vaccine and had some blood drawn. Our next appointment will be on the 20^th. Hopefully I can convince your Papa to take the day off. Our shower is the day before that so, maybe we can have a makeshift weekend together. Your aunts have probably gone all out for the shower.
