Hello, our boy,
Your aunts were here yesterday for about two hours. It's strange to think that the next time we see each other, you'll be here. Very strange. Your Auntie Kari told us about a dream she had. In her dream, she was late to leave Woodridge to come here to Decatur so, she went down to her basement to call your Auntie Nessa. She found your Grandma sitting in the brown rocking chair that belonged to our great-grandma. Your Grandma was rocking a baby with curly red hair. I was standing off to the side and Auntie Kari asked me when I'd had the baby. I replied that I'd had the baby on Thursday.
By the time your Auntie Kari had finished telling us about her dream, I was crying. The idea of my mom holding you, rocking you was too much to think about.
When it comes to Grandma, I think of her every day. Finding out that we were going to have you has made her absence so much more apparent. The fact that your Papa will never know her makes me incredibly sad, but the knowing that you'll never know her makes my heart ache. I know your Auntie Kari worries silently like I do. She holds everything in and I'm sure being so far away has made her worry a lot about me and about you. I think Grandma was telling her that we'll be fine. You're being protected even now. Grandma is taking care of you while she can and then she'll be letting us have you.
And now I have more evidence against your Papa that you'll have red hair. I will be a little more anxious on Wednesdays because of dream-me saying I had you on Thursday. We have two Thursdays until my due date so, it'll be a waiting game.
I officially turned my Leave paperwork in. I start my maternity leave on April 16th. We're moving into a two-bedroom on the first floor here on May 1st. We're pretty excited about it. The apartment is gorgeous. Your Auntie Kari, Uncle Ricky, and Bryce will be coming to help us move everything downstairs.
Tomorrow, we have our first weekly appointment with Dr. Z. We have one next Monday as well and will continue to have weekly appointments until you arrive.
